Forbesmagazine released the list of the richest people in the world andCarlos Slim Helú, the owner of theAmérica Móvil, TelmexandGrupo Carsotelecommunications group, is once again present asthe richest man in Latin America. According to the publication, the businessman has a fortune of$81.2 billiondollars and ranksthirteenthin the ranking that the publication makes each year.

In 2021, the Mexican businessman of Lebanese origin occupied the twelfth position with a fortune of $62.8 billion dollars. In other words, from one year to the next, Slim increased his fortune by 42% (or $18.4 billion dollars), despite the difficulties of a world plagued by wars and pandemics.
